A haunting exploration of life and death rendered in watercolor and soft pastel, born from a place of personal transition and inner reckoning. This powerful portrait depicts a woman in profile, with half her face revealing the skull beneath - a raw metaphor for the hidden struggles and ‘demons’ we all carry within us.

The title “Double Vision” speaks to those moments when we see ourselves with startling clarity - both the person we present to the world and the vulnerable, struggling soul beneath. The flowing hair, rendered in rich purples and blues using layered pastel techniques, contrasts with precise watercolor washes that create atmospheric depth around this moment of revelation.

This piece embodies the masks we wear and the mortality we hide from, representing those closeted fears and unspoken truths that shape our daily existence.
